It is an effective way to control air Pollution by removing Hazardous & Noxious fumes / gases like HCl, SO2, Nox, Nitrous, Cl2, HBr, HF, NH3, Chrome, Triethylamine (TEA) and so on generating during Chemical reactions or Chemical Processing, before releasing them into the atmosphere.

Fume Scrubbing systems or Gas absorption systems consists of Hoods, Fume Scrubber, Ducting, Liquid recirculation tank, Blower, Chimney and Heat exchanger.

We offer three types of Fume scrubbers. Type: Wet Fume Scrubber -(Vertical Fume Scrubber, Horizontal Fume Scrubber), Venturi Scrubbers and Plate Scrubbers.

The first type of wet fume scrubber or wet gas scrubber (Vertical / Horizontal ) is packed bed type scrubbers. It is a common form of wet scrubbers in which column is filled with suitable type of random packings like Pall rings, Intalox saddles, Raschig rings, etc. Scrubbing liquid is evenly distributed above the packing and flows down through the bed. The liquid wets the packing and forms a thin film. In vertical designs (packed towers), the gas stream flows up the column in vertical type fume scrubber (countercurrent to the liquid) and in horizontal type fume scrubber, it is cross current direction. Type and quantities of scrubbing media depends upon gas or fumes type and quantity. Heat exchanger in some cases may require, if gas-liquid reaction is exothermic.

Fume scrubbing systems are designed efficiently using wet fume scrubber or venturi scrubber to meet final chimney emission standards set by Indian Pollution Control Board norms.

FOLLOWING EQUIPMENTS ARE REQUIRED FOR FUME SCRUBBING SYSTEM:

  • Suction Fume Hoods (If tanks are Open from Top)

  • Ducting

  • Fume Scrubber

  • Centrifugal FRP Blower

  • Liquid Recirculation Tank

  • Pump

  • Pump Piping

  • Heat Exchanger (It is required when Liquid and Gas reaction is exothermic)
